Are you looking for new handles for a previous kitchen when renovating? Simply repainting existing kitchen doors and changing handles and fittings often gives the feeling of a completely new kitchen. Measure and find out the CC measurements of your existing kitchen handles to see what we have to suit you in our range of handles and fittings.
There are many areas for our range of handles. Advantageously, you can install them in your kitchen, bathroom or to enhance the feel of existing furniture in your home. We offer kitchen handles in the standard dimensions 96 mm, 128 mm and 160 mm. Some models of our handles are also offered in extra long designs with center dimensions such as 224 mm, 320 mm and all the way up to 420 mm.
Decor Room's range of handles is a targeted range of mainly more modern designs. We mainly work with products such as brass handles, stainless handles, nickel-plated handles and chrome handles. Regardless of the design you decide on for your kitchen, bathroom or furniture, a good piece of advice is to let the kitchen handles and knobs follow the same style as the other details in the room. It is stylish and trendy with contrasting handles, for example if you have a light kitchen, it can be incredibly stylish with handles in a darker tone.
Brass handles have in recent years trended upwards and become a very popular choice for many. Brass gives a luxurious, warm feeling, while the handles and fittings are very affordable. For many, brass fittings are described as the gold of the kitchen, and we are prepared to agree. We at Decor Room love brass, which can also be seen in the designs we offer. Polished brass usually stays in its original finish, as the surface is treated, an example of polished brass is our handle 5005 in polished brass. If instead you are looking for a material in a slightly more raw style that gets a patina over time and gives beautiful shifts and features, then you should look at handles in brushed or untreated brass. An example here is handle 3065 which has been a big seller with us throughout 2020. If you are looking for brass handles for your bathroom, you should look at handles in polished brass, which are more resistant to erosion and rust. Brass handles are an excellent choice against stone, marble, composite or concrete worktops. The industrial style marries particularly well with brass handles and is a trend that looks set to continue in the future.
Chrome handles and fittings give the room a cold, slightly harder impression. It is easy to match with different types of kitchens and appliances and also easy to keep clean. A popular chrome handle for kitchens and bathrooms is ours handle 5005 in light chrome with back cover. The handle, which is in polished chrome, gives an exclusive impression and is well suited to more modern kitchens and homes.

Choosing new handles for your home or kitchen can really make a big difference. Maybe you are planning to build a completely new kitchen, or have you just handed in your existing doors and drawer fronts for painting? Have you ordered new doors from IKEA and are looking for something more inspiring than what IKEA offers for its kitchen doors? Or should you simply just replace the existing knobs and handles on your already existing kitchen? Whichever of the above scenarios fits you, we want to be your obvious choice when it comes to renewing your home. If you are starting from your existing fronts in the kitchen without plans to do any renovation on the cabinets or door fronts themselves, then the existing CC measurement will play a big role in your selection. You then need to choose handles or fittings that are adapted to your existing CC measurement from your previous kitchen handles.
The standard dimensions found on the Swedish market today are handles with CC dimensions of 96 mm, 128 mm, 160 mm, 192 mm, 224 mm. Then there are some longer handles, which are often placed in a vertical orientation on, for example, high cabinets or built-in fridges and freezers. If you are looking for long handles for your built-in fridge & freezer, we recommend handles in lengths of 256 mm and 416 mm. Long handles in these lengths are often an appreciated detail in more modern kitchens, where design and innovation play a big role.
Don't skimp on the details. There are a plethora of kitchen handle and hardware stores and suppliers out there, we know that. If we're going to offer a piece of advice that we've learned over the years we've been working on this, it's not to skimp on the details, it's the details that can help you lift an entire room. Our handles are made of solid materials, we never use aluminum or stainless steel for our handles. We could produce a handle model that looks like brass, but is made of stainless steel or aluminum, for a much better price, but also a much worse end result. Let the details do the talking in your home, it will be worth it in the end to spend that extra penny on something that you will really be happy with.
Kitchen doors/drawer fronts in white. A common color in Swedish kitchens is white, often matching the color of the walls in the room. Whether you have a matt, glossy or high-gloss finish on your kitchen, the vast majority of handles and knobs fit. The most common choice of material is still stainless look or matt black, but if you want to go beyond normal and challenge the mind a bit, brass, chrome or copper are recommended.
Kitchen doors/drawer fronts in black. You have decided to join the black kitchen trend. We know, it's incredibly stylish, even if it can give a dark impression, black kitchens breathe mystery and luxury in a way that cannot be achieved in kitchens in lighter colours. What is extra fun about having a black kitchen is that basically all the fittings we offer at Decor Room fit perfectly in combination with the black doors and drawer fronts. For a black kitchen, we recommend above all handles and fittings in brass or chrome.
Kitchen doors/drawer fronts in gray or green. This year's trend for the second year in a row is gray and green. The latest color mixes have made gray and green or the combination grey-green make a proper comeback in Swedish kitchens, it exudes luxury, stylish and Scandinavian at the same time. In addition to the fact that gray and green go very well with cararra marble or concrete, it also goes very well with all metals. Both brass and copper lift your gray kitchen / green kitchen or grey-green kitchen to a new level. The contrast of the shiny metal against the gray or green surface makes the fittings resemble expensive ornaments rather than handles where they sit on the kitchen door.
There are of course lots of colors that your kitchen or drawer fronts can have. A simple tip from us is that a stainless look and most other metals such as chrome, brass and copper suit all kitchens in a more modern style. If you have a kitchen in a more country style, a little more consideration is required to find the perfect mix of handles and fittings.
